NOT A JOKE: Why Trump Will Win

He's trying to convince his base that he's being unfairly persecuted, but unfortunately for him, the only ones who are going to believe that are his base.
The GOP's biggest problem can be summed up in one word: "RINO." They have been excluding politicians and voters from their midst in the name of ideological purity for years, but they've never been able to explain exactly what ideology it is that they've been trying to purify. But now they finally have a candidate who best exemplifies that ideology and it is... exclusion itself.
Not exactly a winning political strategy in a democracy.

It can be if you prevent enough people from voting. :whiste:

You are one of my favorite posters, Vic. There's a shit ton of rational thinkers here, but to my mind you always make sense.
Thank you for the kind words, Moonie. Reality has forced me to accept the objective truths of pragmatism, whether I like it or not. It's only when we accept the possibility of what we don't want that we are able to achieve what we do want.

The science is all out there as to why liberals can't tie their shoes but they are just as motivated to turn a blind eye to their obvious weakness as any conservative is.

Their weakness is their belief in their superiority. I note a hatred for Trump supporters. They must be racists, stupid etc. What they are are people with fears and concerns and feeling alienated and looking for someone who doesn't pander to everyone but them. But they are crap underfoot. They don't think like their betters, us.

That they may or may not be entirely right is besides the point, but seeing the disdain which has gone on for some time it's hard to imagine that's not the case. Of course that thinking goes both ways. They are right and the Dems are hateful bigots on their own.

The truth? There's absolutely no difference between either side because they are human.

A modern rendering of the Merchant of Venice.

" Doesn’t a Jew have eyes? Doesn’t a Jew have hands, bodily organs, a human shape, five senses, feelings, and passions? Doesn’t a Jew eat the same food, get hurt with the same weapons, get sick with the same diseases, get healed by the same medicine, and warm up in summer and cool off in winter just like a Christian? If you prick us with a pin, don’t we bleed? If you tickle us, don’t we laugh? If you poison us, don’t we die? And if you treat us badly, won’t we try to get revenge? If we’re like you in everything else, we’ll resemble you in that respect. If a Jew offends a Christian, what’s the Christian’s kind and gentle reaction? Revenge. If a Christian offends a Jew, what punishment will he come up with if he follows the Christian example? Of course, the same thing—revenge! I’ll treat you as badly as you Christians taught me to—and you’ll be lucky if I don’t outdo my teachers."

Change Christian and Jew to Democrat and Republican and this translates very well.

The Democrats also set themselves up for failure by propping up Hillary as their one and only front-runner to compete against Trump. You simply can't find anyone else that's as crooked, corrupted, and as insincere as Hillary Clinton. Yet the Dems will stand besides her, because they definitely don't want a "socialist" representing them. Let's not forget that she's the one that has an FBI investigation hanging all over her shoulders.

I wonder how much Hilary's gender has protected her from criticism from her own side. "Of course I'm not a sexist - I love Hilary!" It's like the GOP gift-wrapped this election and sent it over to the DNC on a silver platter, and the Dems respond by trying to give it back via nominating Hilary.

Sometimes they bring revolution.

The "average" working man in the US doesn't have time for revolution. They don't even have time to inform themselves about politics, BEYOND what the 10 o' clock news says. I mean this. Compare with those horrible socialist Europeans. We socialist bastards work less, have much more free time. Heck 21 paid of vacation, GUARANTEED, in addition to holidays and less work in general.
This allows the horrible European socialists to think about all kinds of stuff, or, in some cases, even revolutions. The Americans who work 2-3 jobs and have MUCH less free time can't. Ironically, those are the ones who would need a revolution the most urgent.

Your statement about the Supreme Court is exactly why Clinton should never be POTUS! We've got to get rid of the failed ACA and preserve the 2nd Amendment. The Supreme Court is the last place we need being controlled by liberals. There has to be parents among us, or the country goes off the cliff.
If Trump wins, get ready for a Civil War because gas chambers are coming for anyone who didn't vote for Trump.
You're both so cute and delusional.

If most Americans ONLY stuck to evening news broadcasts, instead of cable news and whatever mostly bullshit political meme's and blogs their facebook friends post, the dialogue in this country would be in a much better place and less influenced by misinformation and outright lies.

I shall most likely write in "none of the above" as a protest.

Both sides have finally managed to pick candidates I will not under any condition select. It's about time someone listens and if they don't I can't help that. No to this travesty. No.

This decades long partisan foolishness needs to end, period.

Three questions:

1. Who did you vote for last time?

2. From the wide array of candidates on both sides this year, which, if any, would you have voted for had they become the nominee? Kasich? Bernie? Rubio? Anyone?

3. From among major American political figures who didn't run, who would have been your favorite?

He just referred to the judge in his Trump U case as Mexican.

Umm....Mexican is NOT a race it is a nationality just like in another context Islam is a religion and Muslims are NOT a race but people who adhere to the tenets of Islam to varying degrees. Try harder. If he had called him a Mestizo you'd have a point.

You are obtuse. The judge is an American. He called him a Mexican. Now, deduce why.

Of course not. His chauffeur does. That's why The Wall is so important . . . illegal pedestrian traffic. They're jaywalkers and rapists. Some of them use the crosswalk, I assume.

😀😀😀

To me, Trump is just a caricature of the typical FOX News bubble partisan.
For months, I suspected that he was a secret Dem plant. I'm still not 100% convinced he isn't. It's the only explanation that makes any sense.

Amazing, isn't it? Like, if the judge was Japanese, and Trump said "well, clearly this Chinese judge is just not happy that I want to take our jobs back"

No, not racist. Because Chinese and Japanese aren't races.

No question that Trump supporters are either racist themselves or can convince themselves that the things he says are not racist.

Most people don't know the difference between Racism and Bigotry and use the terms interchangeably.

Trump is the GOP establishment's punishment to the base for not accepting their plans to welcome Hispanic candidates and voters into the party. They're giving them what they want and are going to hold what's to come over their heads for decades.

He most likely had no idea if he was a Mexican or not. It never mattered. What counted is that many of his base would see him as a victim. He wins. Some would automatically believe him. He wins. When it was found out that the judge wasn't Mexican his opponents cried foul, made a fuss and the media pushed Trumps face into everyone else's Free publicity. He wins.

That's why.

I don't like the man, but I understand what he is doing and he's good at it.

1. I don't remember. When I was in the booth I realized I couldn't look at myself in the mirror the next morning if I selected either of the two major candidates. I picked anyone else.

2. Bernie. He has character and a lifetime of living his principles. He hasn't sold his soul for his party or bowed to anyone.

3. No one really. They've sold their souls for their party and when that party whip comes cracking I don't trust them not to jump.

Actually I see almost two identical mindsets. There are Trump supporters who cannot understand why people are against them and the opposite side who cannot under stand why their candidate isn't embraced. Both sides are blind in opposite sides.

Consider this fact. Trump is winning in spite of him having the highest disfavorable rating of any Presidential candidate in history. Why? Because the opposition is fronting someone not much better looking in that regard.

If Trump wins it will be because Democrats gave him the office, and vice versa. Neither Dems, Reps, or Trump will win because they are wanted in general.

Partisans asked for this and they got it. In fact they have become so hyperpolarized as to have become devoid of empathy and do not understand why the other side has any appeal at all.

This is the true tragedy.
Amen. If "None of the above" was a choice that actually counted, Obama would remain President for the next decade whilst the two parties tried to figure out how to pull they collective heads out from they collective asses.
