Guys,
This is not a day for me. I went in to take my exam for Math and bombed it. I went blank and could not remember much.
Then I step into work and get a phone call first thing in the morning. It was from the CEO himself telling me the bad news. At first I thought he was firing me or something for my numbers not being up to par. Then he dropped the MOTHER of ALL BOMBS that the entire company is shutting down due to our company's numbers just not being able to cut it. The telecommunications industry is just too saturated right now. There are stores popping up left and right undercutting each other like crazy. We buy a phone for $90.00 and re-sell it for free in hopes to make some $ off of the commission. But I guess it just ain't happening. OMFG! The reality has not set in yet. It feels like it's just another day of doing something and having a job.
At the end of February, my job is going to be terminated. I'm not being fired, but rather, laid off. I am going to collect unemployment, that's for sure. They said within a two weeks time they'll try and get us into something else doing whatevers. I know it's possible as the HR is already at another job and she has many many connections. Man, this is just a sad day for me. I hope everyone else's day is just fine. Peace out!
