Not sure how this would be more appropriate for "Merchandise & Shopping." So I'll post it here. . . .
May 27: First of several "drop-out" problems with my ISP
June 1: Purchased about $1,200 in parts for two computer-builds and a repair. Was able to stay on-line long enough to complete the order and download some rebate forms.
June 2 to June 9: Misery! Spent hours each day troubleshooting, contacting ISP tech-support, getting updates on a "line-diagnosis and repair" in the neighborhood. Able to get my e-mails (like "order confirmation") sporadically.
During the Time of Chaos and Worry, the parts arrived. I had ordered two identical computer cases -- each with a $10 rebate and a 3-rebate limit per household. I was able to find time to open one of the case-packages. All this time, I had forgotten about the rebates.
June 11: Badgered about "clutter," I hurriedly "authorized" disposal of the discarded box for the case package I'd opened. The box had UPC stickers on it.
Today, June 12: Now attending to the matter of $20 in rebates to file, I note the requirement: "original UPC bar code label from product package."
The remaining unopened unit has two UPC stickers on it. If I can use BOTH of these "original UPC bar code labels," I can get my rebates for both of the purchased units.
Aren't UPC codes generic to the product-model? I don't THINK they are unique to each unit of product.
Anyone willing to confirm this?
EDIT/UPDATE: Almost wish I hadn't offered this silly distraction on the forums. Checked online about UPC codes. They're specific to a "model" or product -- not to each item rolling off the assembly-line. All six-packs of regular Budweiser have the same UPC; all 24-packs of Budweiser share the same UPC -- different from the six-packs.
Now -- if Coolermaster will only honor their rebate offer . . .
