Sorry for the non-deal post folks, but I've spent the last 4 days searching for the Cad program that was announced here (and other places on the web) to no avail!! Please help!

What I remember is:
It was a high end program, the creators are making a sort of 'learning' version that is to have all the features of the origional, except that output will have a watermark. It's not available yet, but should be soon. I think the name began with Van... ,but I don't remember the name at all. I just remember I wanted to be sure and try it out, only now I can't find the site or any of the posts announcing it!

YES!!!
It was the Maya learning edition.
Thank you all for your help! No wonder I wasn't very successful in my searching - '(even thought I tried many, many combinations with and without CAD). You guys are great - thanks for saving me from days and days more of fruitless searching (that is a deal I'd have to say, but unfortunately limited to one recipient)

Hmmm, not CAD as you noted, but should come in handy nevertheless. Due out sometime this month...I'm keeping my eyes peeled (now I know where to look)

Now that you folks brought the manualCAD to my attention also, I'll check into it as well. For you who may be interested in 3D Cad, there's a neat little program available free at
Pro Desktop
It does a great job of 3D CAD at an irresistable price (free, you only have to fill out a form to get the authorization key). Its limitation is that it doesn't do fancy rendering, though it does enough to make spinning your object around as you're working on it neat. I think I'll go ahead and post it in a new thread as well...
