I picked one up for my wife because her 1st gen Nano is beat up and she constantly complains that it doesn't work and one for my son for Christmas.

Flame suit on! :D

I like the nano. Feels good brah. I'm jelly.

I also like the refurb fuzes that pop up for cheap. 4gb is about 25-30. 8gb is about 40. You can pop in a micro sd and they can run rockbox.

Canon cameras?!?!! Bwhahahhah what a joke. They put RED Ls on their expensive shit lenses! Who the fuck would buy one of those?!!?!?

L is for Luxury!
Feel the luxurious finish. Laugh at the rest with the imitations. Gold? They are trying to hard.

I like paying 4x what a product is worth AND being forced to use iTunes.

Wait no I don't.

Why would you be forced to use iTunes? My wife has an ipod, and has never used iTunes.

I agree the nano is overpriced for what it offers however.

I used to have an mptrip mp3player... but my car can now play mp3 cd's on it's own... and with a 6 disk changer ... I've essentially got 4.5gb mp3 capacity in the car without buying 3rd party mp3 equipment....

So, I've never felt the need for an ipod or the like ...

gym? snowboarding?

I don't go to the gym, I have a heavy bag in my basement and can play my stereo in the home theater next room over if I want music.

I don't snowboard. I do snowmobile, but, the 2 stroke is loud as hell so I wouldn't hear music anyhow.

my phone can handle mp3s if I really want to listen to music on the go, but, I don't like listening to music when I'm walking somewhere, since I find it to my benefit for cars to be audible...

Two words: Ear buds

I ride a motorcycle and my iPod is easily capable of putting out enough sound to hear over the roar of wind past my helmet at 80mph or the aftermarket exhaust on my bike.

Will you be making a new account to give one away? I don't see how this relates to us on ATOT.

Ear buds are uncomfortable IMO.
I just don't feel the urge to listen to music every second of every day... I will agree that it would be nice when I'm on my bike sometimes .... but, I would probably just use my cellphone for the mp3s then ... the little 4gb card I stuck in there will give enough variety for a couple of hours of riding :)

I want the 5th gen~

I love my 5th gen. 16Gb is just the right size for me, and it has radio as well.

I generally keep my iPod in my jacket pocket and sometimes put my hand in to change song/volume without looking. Can't do that on the new Nano.

I bought a 5th gen here on the forums about a month or so ago, but I kind of don't think I will be using it much. Now that Howard Stern is on the streaming app for SiriusXM, I will just use my smartphone and probably never listen to music on a portable device again.
