Nosey roommate

My roommate and I share a cable internet connection. But the only way we could set it up is where his PC has to be on if I want to get online. So he got a wireless router. That's fine. But, the router filters everything, and he has it set up where it logs all the websites I visit. He is very nosey and likes to look at all the urls. I don't have anything to hide, but I don't like him logging my internet usage and he won't change the setting on the router. It's not my router, so I can't make him change it. Anything I can get/use to block the router from logging my web usage? If I am on the wrong forum with this, I apologize. It just seems off topic.

So the router being his gives him the right to watch what is going through that? You share the internet connection right? You have every right to complain. There is really no solution to this, unless you connect to an anonymizer, which will seriously dampen your internet experience.

he's weird if looking at your url's is worth his time

stick a pumpkin bomb in his butt, and set it off

He's obviously reading this page so let me help you out here.

Hey non-hetero, why don't you get a life and stop being a nosey little bitch. If my roommate ever pulled that crap on me you can be sure i'd kick his nerdy little ass with a baseball bat. Why don't you go find some friends and get a life instead of sitting around waiting for crap to spy on. You turd.

Proxy? Otherwise, buy your own router? sorry to hear about your situation, sucks...but you should be a little more agressive than just letting him walk over you.

Or you could always do childish things in return, like making weird limitations on him using anything of yours (for instance...buy a new lock for the door and say that he can only use it when you're home 😀)

do you pay for 1/2 of the internet bill? If you do then he needs to stop. If he can't or wont stop, he needs a find a way to share the line with you and not snoop on you.

other alternatives. ... demand a 2nd ip and pay for it yourself.

Well, if you ever want to surf with some anonymity...
Reset the router.
Log in with the default password.
Change settings.
Optional: password his ass out of the router.
