I have never been to a game and my kids want to go to the Magic v Grizzlies game next week, and nosebleeds are the only reasonable priced tickets. Have any of you sat in these and was it worth going?

the only NBA game i attended was Portland Trailblazers when i was about 9-11 years old
it is one of those things you remember from your childhood, regardless where you sit. i'd say go for it

Can be a little hard to see, but still fun. Get there early and head down near the court for the early shooting the players do so your kids can get an up close look at some of the players

Yes should be fun anywhere you sit- I'd also watch craigslist/other avenues- before the Sonics left I got some very decent deals for seats I'd otherwise never pay so much for.

Im looking on ebay and these ticket sellers are cheaper than ticketmaster for the same section. I just dont know how legit they are. I will wait until a day or two before and see if any pop up on cl

You risk a lot doing that. I don't sit in nosebleeds anymore, but mostly because I can afford to sit low, or I get tickets from family/friends. But, you're going for your kids - this is more about the experience for them than anything. So go sit there - make sure you do go down before the game (show up like an hour or more early) and see if you guys can get some autographs. Also, buy them that foam finger they want! My parents never did :(

I have been to the nosebleed section of NBA (Mavs) and MLB (Rangers) and I did not like it.

If you want to gamble, wait until almost game time and walk up. You may get lucky to have some leftover tickets. It does help if you team plays with a sucky team on that day.

If your intent is to have a great night out with your kids, then by all means DO IT! The sounds, the smells, the energy...it's awesome. My brother has Trailblazer season tickets and every time my family drives down there he and I go to a game (in season, of course).

Unless you're a fan (I'm not), it's not really about "the game", but the *experience*. Doesn't really matter where you're sitting for that! :D

if you get nose bleeds i'd suggest getting them on a side court view though. i sat in some $10 nose bleeds behind the rim and while it was a good time because we were drinking beer and enjoying ourselves, the view was pretty bad.

oh, and it was a wizards game ... that was the worst part.

as far as nosebleeds in general go, i like nosebleeds at NFL games better than the lower seats because you can see the plays developing better from higher up.

I grew up sitting in box seats at 49ers games and I usually get to sit in luxury boxes at Laker/Clippers games, but that has always on someone else's dime.

I took my 10 year old daughter to a Laker game last year sitting about 5 rows from the last row in the building. We had a great time. Kids who have never been to a game are not as spoiled as more experienced game-attendees.

Go for it, but not on eBay - go legit on something like StubHub.

I buy Magic tickets on eBay several times every season, never an issue. They usually are e-tickets that the seller will e-mail. Always the cheapest place I've found. I'm going to the Magic-Hawks game tomorrow, they might be upper bowl but they are center view and only 24$ for two.

I've been spoiled with floor & box seats (thanks to ex-employers & vendors), so I seriously doubt I'd ever want to sit in the nosebleed section.

I'm an almost 30 year old kid and I will always love attending live sporting events.
