Everything Conservatives say is throw away.

Everything said by conservatives needs to be shoved so far up their ass, that it shoots out their mouths and then pulled back in until it naturally comes out of where it should have in the 1st place; their ass.

If that camp is anything like similar things run in the US those kids were probably most high level overachievers. A large part of the cream of the next generation for Norway gets slaughtered needlessly and Glen Beck slanders their memory further. I cannot adequately express my contempt for him.

Claiming it was a throwaway comment is ridiculous, he said it, it expressed his thoughts-it's not a matter of something that could be interpreted differently.

So when Obama says:
"So it’s not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them"
He really means it? The people of Pennsylvanian are racist, religious nuts?

When Al Gore said:
"the extreme right wing, the extra chromosome right wing."
He really meant that people on the right have down syndrome?

When Obama said:
"The Cambridge police acted stupidly."
He really meant that the Cambridge police are stupid?

How about this Obama quote?
"I bowled a 129. It's like -- it was like Special Olympics, or something."
Is that an off hand comment, or is he intentionally insulting poor bowlers or special olympians?

"I've now been in 57 states -- I think one left to go."
Obviously he believes there are 57 states, no way he could have misspoken or made a mistake?

And I assume that you never say anything stupid or misspeak at all, correct?

BTW I am not apologizing for Beck.

He was a stupid statement and he shouldn't have said it. But context is everything in a situation like this.

To call it a 'throwaway comment' IS being an apologist. And now saying his statement is 'stupid' is a BIG understatement.

Comparing a misspeak to like the 57 states comments what Glenn Beck is being an apologist. Of the quotes you gave the only two that are even provacative enough to be noticed are the Special Olympics comment and the extra chromosome comment. Both of which were in poor taste and insulting and shouldn't have been said. I don't know about the chromosome one, but Obama apologized for the Special Olympics one as he should have. But Beck comparing the victims of a mass killing to Hitler Youth propaganda camps is the worst kind of monstrous. Without saying it directly he's vindicating the murderer here.

Yes, and the broader context was that he spent the bulk of his commentary on this massacre talking about the dangers of multi-culturalism and Muslims in Europe. The whole thing smacks of blaming the victims for the massacre, and his "Hitler youth" remark was of a piece with that theme.

those are indeed terrible statements.

But also, for the most part, an issue of misspeaking. with Glen Beck, this shit is scripted. He prepares this crap. it is all part of a message that he rehearses and hopes to disseminate to his pus-brained sheeple.

It's not exactly proper to compare the two situations.

further "Extra chromosome right wing?" o_O. that's nuts. I don't remember that.

and, to interpret "The Cambridge police acted stupidly" as meaning the "Cambridge police are stupid," is, well, completely stupid on whoever interprets it that way. lol.

I don't really want to search for a link to his manifesto but according to the interwebz he said the following:

"If you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and God then you are a religious Christian. Myself and many more like me do not necessarily have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and God. We do however believe in Christianity as a cultural, social, identity and moral platform. This makes us Christian," he wrote.

If he really did write this, I have a hard time calling him a Christian terrorist as opposed to a nationalist terrorist. Isn't believing in Jesus Christ as your personal savior necessary to being a Christian? Sounds like he's just talking about being a westerner.

"the personal relationship" is a nearly exclusive American protestant modern bastardization of Christianity.

departing from that does not exclude as accepting him as your savior.

but it does sound like he is more interested in latching onto them as the foundation of a movement, meaning--they need a strong cultural tie to give themselves legitimacy. He doesn't sound interested in Christianity for any reason more than Christians are a mainstream group that represents the stable, moral center for whatever shithole country he hopes to establish.

Btw, this strategy and similar embracing of Christianity is found in Mien Kamf. :hmm:

Sounds about right. He's Christian only as an identity to oppose Islam and multi-multiculturalism, perhaps able to see the value in the JudeoChristian civilization, more likely only seeing something in common with those decrying the same things he hates. I have a hard time seeing him as a Christian terrorist, but I'm sure there are lots of Muslims who have an equally hard time seeing UBL as an Islamic terrorist.

And congrats on defeating Godwin's law. For once, here is someone who actually CAN be honestly compared to Hitler and the Nazis.

Any of these comments uttered in the shadow of people being murdered?

As for misspeak you are conveniently ommitting Glenn Beck has a history of this kind of thing

I would suggest quitting while you are behind.
