I have been using the systemworks software and I want to optimize registry and swap files. The manual says i should close all programs first- That's Ok till i get in the program where i received a warning that i shouldn't close by using the Ctrl-alt del-method.?
That is the method I use when playing using a sim game. They say use alt-tab but nothing happens when i press those!
How do i close these programs to satisfy Norton's warning?
Anyone who has used Systemworks can advise please?
Thanks

So long as you have no other programs running then that is ok.

By using the Alt/Tab method it would cycle through the "open" programs. I was uncertain of this too originally thinking that the icons in the system tray down by the clock could be running also.

If there is nothing running using the Alt/Tab method then it is fine - at least that is what I have been doing these past few years without any trouble ;)
