Norton Systmes Work LiveUpdate Problem

Whenever I try to run Live Update, I get the following message: "LUALL.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log has been created." Went to symantec but no luck cannot ping ftp.symantec.com but can ping www.symatec.com as well as others. Can't find any log either.

Any ideas on my problem. Have unistaleld and reinstaled NSW 2003.
