I should've known better than to expect anything too good from Norton, but since I didn't know whereelse to get a "WinDoc" that I remember using so long ago, I didn't know where else to turn. Basically, I was looking for a Registry Repair and maybe some defragmenter and disk checker, if they outdo what Microsoft provides, in one package.
I remembered having Norton Utilities... or some kind of systemworks previously and it wasn't that bad.
I spend $70 on this systemworks 2006.... oh why
. Not only did it suck having to pay so much for the use of half the products included, but what's worse is that after installing it, my processes increased by about 30%! I couldn't believe it. They were running all these things in the back ground that I didn't even install. All I wanted were some standalone utilities, the ones I mentioned, and they don't require real-time anything. But Norton was doing something. I uninstalled it then. I'm not gonna have it mess with me.
On a positive note, I did fix a few issues I was having with Windows. I'm just gonna run WinDoc from the CD, which may be the only really useful feature from the CD and that's it. But 70 bucks for just this feature is insane.
