Norton Systemworks 2006 or System Mechanic 6

I like to keep my system running well, but software always screws that up! I have been using Systemworks 2001 for a while now and wanted to upgrade to the latest and greatest, but I keep hearing that Systemworks 2006 is unstable at best, and impossible to remove it botched.

I found system mechanic 6 and thought that may work, any one have experience with this or any other program that I am not aware of? Maybe Systemworks 2006 works great and the ones who have problems are just really vocal? Feedback would be great. thanks!

 
Tough question - having used both in many computers, I perfer Norton SystemWorks better. Just do not use their antivirus, it's just too big of a resource hog.
