Norton System works fails to open after MBoard change

I uninstalled and reinstalled the NSW but it still fails to open. The icons are there while when I clkick on it nothing happens

Win xp pro
P4 2.4
Intel 865gbf
2GB RAM
 
I'd uninstall it and leave it off personally. It slows down your system and doesn't really do anything good for you. If you simply must have nortan antivirus then use the standalone version with none of the extra stuff or download AVG.
 
I thought so too but I use Norton Ghost a lot. Any substitute? Dont want to have to pay again for an imaging software. Any freeware?
