I'm really liking win XP, but when I ran the system checking program prior to installing XP, it said I would have problems with Norton System Works Pro (2001). Now I want to reinstall it, and the Symantec web site has a patch to install. Has anyone tried this, and does it work? What's a good way to go about this?

If Norton says it will work, then give it a try. They seem to put out pretty solid products. Good luck

Do you have a link for this? I can't find anything at Symantec to allow NSW2K1 to work on XP. I thought you had to use 2K2.

When you try to install it there will be a link to it somewhere in there.

I needed to use SystemWorks 2002 with Windows XP. Systemworks 2001 gave me all kinds of problems when I tried to use it with XP.

When I installed XP, the software compatibilty advisor clearly told me that SystemWorks 2001 wasn't compatible with XP. I can't really speak to the Pro version though.......anyway, I purchased the 2002 version which works just fine.

Well NAV 2001 works anyway, 2001 systemworks should work if you download the patch for it. I know systemworks 2000 has 0 chance of working hehe.

From my understanding NSW 2002 is the only version compatible with XP of any flavor. Disk doctor from the 2001 version DOES NOT support NTFS partitions and neither does Norton Ghost 2001. I also had to get the NSW 2002 Pro to be compatible with XP.

Well if that's true about disk doctor 2001 they really screwed up there. Well not really, they got more people buying 2002 because of it...
