Norton says my registry is damaged yet it can not ifx it for me, hmm...

I DLed the new Norton Utilities 2001 to see how it was. It says my registy is messed up and gives me an error trying to fix it. My system still works fine and all but it got me a little scared that my registry is going south... How can I repair my registry other than Norton?

What OS are you using? since there have been problems with that type of software especially Nortons in the pass.

If you are using Win 98 try this

1)Boot up computer

2)Hold down the F8 key to go to the boot menu selection

3)choose boot to command prompt only

4) Type in Scanreg /restore

5)Choose the oldest sucessfully started registry

That should fix it

Sorry its WinME, I should have said that originally. Will that stuff work in WinME?
