Norton is driving me Crazy

For like a month now Nortons been driving me crazy. A security alert appears every half a second. It refuses to stop. Even if I disconnect my internet, it says that it blocked a inbond adress. I tred turning off all firewall detection and intrusion detection. No luck. When I started up Azureus, which uses java, it went crazy with detecting java aplllications. Can someone help?

Uninstall it and use the XP firewall.

While I am no fan of the XP firewall (I believe any number of freeware firewalls are much better than the XP firewall) it should be noted that if your going to use the XP Firewall make sure your running Service Pack 2. XP Firewall prior to Service Pack 2 is a joke.

Post-SP2 is better but you may want to consider something like Jetico Personal Firewall which can be obtained free of charge from here: http://www.jetico.com/.
