For some reason when I try to activate my Norton Internet Security 2005 software, I get an "Invalid A8 KEY" error message. After doing some research into the problem, I found out that it is caused by a conflict with the Roxio CD Creator 6 software that came with my Plextor CD-RW.
Has anyone encountered this problem and came up with a solution or possible fix? I've done just about everything there is to do in terms of solving this problem, short of re-formatting the hard drive (which I have done three times now) and I want to avoid that at all costs.
I've called Symantec several times this past and last week for, and they are absolutely no help (go figure). After consulting Roxio and not being able to find a solution there either, I am ready to throw in the towel on this problem in frustration.
