Hi everyone, I'm having a problem with my NIS, I just bought it today and have pretty much figured it out except for one annoying problem.
My LAN accesses the Internet through a software proxy (Proxy+) on the machine NIS is on. I've got this working fine and closed the telnet port since NIS was constantly leaving it open even though the proxy doesn't seem to require it.
However whenever I go onto an IRC network I get booted off saying I'm using an unprotected proxy, I can get around it by blocking the proxies HTTP port (4480) from recieving traffic but then of course my proxy doesn't work :)
Is there anyway I can run my proxy and get onto IRC networks? I never had this problem with Zonealarm Plus I'd expect Norton to work considering the price.
Can anybody help?
