Norton Ghosting my C:/ Drive

Hi all,
I have 4 250gb drives running RAID10. I want to get my space back and possibly get a performance increase. I also have a 20GB IDE drive. What I want to do is to copy my Operating system from my C:/ drive (13.5gb file size) onto the 20GB IDE drive. Then boot up with the IDE drive, reformat and change the raid setup to raid0 and then ghost my IDE drive back onto the raid configuration? How would I go about doing that. I have Ghost 9.0 Also what is a good stripe size and chunk size to go with on a 4 drive Raid0 setup? Thanks alot.

Hi,

Ok, first of all, be CAREFUL, before you do anything test that all the data you require is on that 250GB IDE drive. SO DON'T BREAK YOUR RAID until your 100% certain.

Before I say anything, are you using a controller for your RAID or is it onboard and which brand/model is it? Also, do you have an available IDE channel on the SAME controller?

Let me know and I'll gladly help out.
