Norton Ghost?

Sorry. I booted with the Ghost floppy, and tried to create a bootable CD but Ghost keeps reporting an error when trying to create the image. At what point exactly should I insert the unformatted CD-R? Should the CD-R be formatted in Windows first? How, or in what form? I have Adaptec and ME.

Alternatively, is my only other option to buy Partition Magic to create a partition to accept a ghost image?
