I have a Norton ghost 8.0 corporate, and i have a problem with loading images form dvd. I load the program from two floppys, but when i put the dvd with the image it cant read it, as a matter of fact it cant read any dvd-s.
I tried this on many computers with combos or dvdrw and it doesnt work. my friend tells me that he tried the same before few monthswith success, but i still dont know whats the problem, becouse images works fine when i copy them on hdd
I use nero 6.6.xx to burn the dvd, and i always close the session. i tried burning the image on different kinds of dvds and dvdrws, but still with no succes.
Can anyone help?

1. Buy Norton Ghost 2003 (under $10 online)
2. Read my tutorial:

http://www.wiredbynature.org/comp/ghost/

Make sure you check the box to perform an Integrity Check (see step 3). This will verify that the disc is good after you burn the image. It takes more time but it is oh so worth it.

Nice tutorial Kaido.
And I was looking for one myself as I just got 2003, but haven't figued out Ghost yet.

Thanks. 🙂

No problem 🙂 I still need to add a few more things, like restore instructions, but it isn't difficult. Basically, when you want to restore an image, you pop your custom burned disc in and tell Ghost to pull the image from the CD or DVD to the hard drive. No fuss, it does it all automatically. It's very, very nice 🙂
