I have been trying to learn how to make a complete copy of my hard drive onto another so I can just swap them out. I know there is a way to copy a image but I just want to do HD to HD. I tried using Partition Magic 7 and Norton Ghost 2002. After I copy the HD, I turn off the computer, disconnect the primary HD and put the Master IDE cable into the new copied HD(of course changing the jumpers). Then when I try to boot from it I get this message on a black screen.

Windows 2000 could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: <windows 2000 root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
Please reinstall a copy of the above file.

I am new to this back up process and could use some help. What should I do now? Any step by step would help. I am using NTFS files on 2000 but Norton Ghost 2002 is suppose to support those type of files under what I am trying to do right?
