I have used it before on this same computer. I had system works 2001 pro installed and it worked fine 1 time. I have even reformatted and reinstalled everything but ghost still won't work. It won't see my cdrw no matter what type of boot disk I make. I have now installed system works 2002 thinking that it might work better, but no change. Their website says to let your computer sit for 5minutes and see if the drive does appear! That I can't understand how it would do but I tried anyways...no help. I can recover from a ghost image in windows. I can't write to cdrw or read to cdrw in pc-dos? The boot disk is supposed to do this. What can I do?
Thanks in advance,

Was the ghost floppy created from the installation that you currently have? If not you probably need to create a new disk from inside windows.

the ghost floppy was made right before I rebooted with it...still no luck...I even reinstalled my HP drivers which shouldn't really matter in dos but that didn't help either

Come to think of it I had problems with ghost and my cd drives too. It usually read them but the performance was horrible. As a result I use a different bootdisk than the one that ghost creates, and then I run ghostpe.exe from a second floppy after it boots. Actually, since I usually image just my System partition, I have ghostpe.exe on another fat32 partition, so when the computer boots from the floppy and stops at the a:, I can run the program from the fat32 partition so its faster. I use bootdisks from this site, specifically W98SE.exe because it works best for me (even though I have winxp installed).
