Hello,

I want to upgrade to WinXP and the only program I use frequently is ghost and I want to know if Ghost can write a NTFS partition to a Fat32 partition.

Any help appreciated.

Yes, it can. You should have no problems--although some have reported problems ghosting a NTFS formatted partition.

I used Ghost 7.5 to clone a NTFS/Win XP partition and didn't have any problems.

I have Win98SE and Norton 2002Pro, have no experience with WinXP.

I have seen several posts that indicate the version of Ghost that comes with Norton 2002Pro will create an image of an NTFS-formatted partition on CDR media, but can't WRITE that image to an NTFS-formatted partition.

The only solution reported for that problem was to install WinXP on FAT32-formatted partition.

Hope this helps!

I use ghost 2002 with my win xp an ntfs. All is fine. Ghost will take care of the formatting and all.
