Norton Firewall 2003?

I have Norton Firewall 2003 and I find it very slow. Anyone agree? What is better Zone Alarm? Opinions needed.

What is Slow???

I have a 2Mb/sec. DSL it yields the excat same "Speed" with or without NIS2003.

I also have a Netgear Router. I know I need both but I am wondering if I can cut back on the Norton Firewall so that it uses less system resources.
