Looking around at nortons site and ran their scans, it said this about IE5.5.....

Browser Information Check
Scan Description:
Web sites can ask for certain information from web browsers. This scan checks whether your web browser releases information about the site you last visited.

Scan Results:
You are at risk of exposing your browsing history. Your Web browser is transmitting the address of the last site visited to Web servers.

To fix this problem:

Install a personal firewall program that blocks personal information.
If you have a personal firewall installed, it may not support or be properly configured to protect this information.
Symantec recommends Norton Internet Security for comprehensive security and anti-virus protection.

Is there some setting I need to change to fix this?

I have Sygates personal firewall installed.
