Norton AV Help

OK im trying to install Norton AV 2002. on a Win 2k Pro Machine. Its goes through teh install fine. and when it gets to the configuration screne i click next and get This error and thene norton quits. i then tried opening it from teh toolbar in IE and it does teh same thing. I have installed AVG and searched to see if i had a virus. I do NOT. i cleaned teh registry using regcleaner and have run ad-aware. and teh comp is clean. but Norton still gives the error. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it. also


anyone have a clue whats up with this?

Looks like you have a faulty installation files. Does the installation work ok on other computers?

it did like 3 weeks ago when i installed it on my comp with XP onit

Some ideas (besides going to symantec.com, but that's cheating )

(a) virus has already infected your machine
(b) antivirus already running during install
(c) installing using a login that isn't in the Administrators group
(d) filesystem messed up.
(e) RAM error
