Norton AV 2002 Decisions

Hi, I was just wondering if it's worth getting the above now...or waiting for the 2003 edition, I was thinkign tho wouldnt the detection engine be updated for 2002 during Liveupdate anyway, making a 2002 purchase acceptable? Thanks

Since NAV 2002 is only 9.00 for the full OEM 1 yr version it's a no brainer.

Yeah, I know that, but is the detection engine updated during Live Updates as well?

I don't think that the engine is updated routinely. I generally see only new definitions. There have been 2 or 3 program updates and 2 or 3 redirector updates issued via Live Update since I installed Norton AV 2002 for the first time.
