Hi guys, I am having problem to quarantine backdoor.trojan. The file infected is Explorer.exe. I think it's one of windows file. It prompted skip or delete the file. I don't think my system will operate if I delete Explorer.exe. Do you guys have any idea? Hopefully, I don't need to reformat my system.
By the way, I am using Winxp Pro. Thank you and have a nice day.

You have to delete it.

To get a new copy on the system, boot from the WinXP CD, select the Recovery Console option and copy explorer.exe from the /I386 directory of the CD to C:\Windows.

It couldn't quarantine the file because it was in use....probably by the system.

You will need to boot into DOS and manually delete the file...

You may want to check symantec's site for removal instructions if that doesn't work.....

Good Luck!
