Norton denies upgrade rebates. I've sent them in twice.

Once with manual cover, Once with origional cd. Both times they said I hadn't included proof of ownership of an older version (both of these were listed as acceptable proof on the form).

Also both times they waited until past the date of resubmission and did not return anything I had sent them.

I haven't had any problems with upgrade rebates. I've done them 3x this year (for AV, Internet Security, and Ghost).

I've never had a problem with Norton upgrade rebates and I've done them more times than I can count. I have had other vendors claim that I didn't include a required item but I always scan everything so I have complete copies and can resend if necessary.

I only had one or two times when they claimed my upgrade proof was not submitted, but a phone call and a fax solved the problem both times. I never had any problems with the other dozen or so upgrade rebates. I agree with Athena that you need to scan/photocopy everything. You can pre-submit and check your rebate status online.
