I have Norton Antivirus 2002 running on my system, but I noticed that Norton Internet Security 2005 came with my motherboard. I attempted to use it, but for some reason the LiveUpdate feature will not work with the 2005 version. Is this a problem worth troubleshooting, or should I just be content with the (working) 2002 version that I currently have installed?

Thanks,
J. J.

Do you have installed Norton Internet Security 2002? If so, there will be a problem installing and using NIS 2005. I had the same issue with NIS 2002 and NIS 2004 and only a fresh windows install did the job. I recommend you to use NIS 2004 or NIS 2005 (I'm happy with my NIS 2004) it has more features than 2002, like a pop-up blocker and an easy way to let it know what to load and what not.
Either way, I think Norton lets you manually download the updates.
