Norton Antispam thread priority

Hi,
I recently installed Norton AntiSpam and it works great except one little thing, its scanning threads have too high a priority. When scanning the ingoing mail the thread eats up so much resources that the whole computer slows down, for example if I try watching a movie at the same time it stutters. Is there any way to permanently set the thread priority to something lower (if I try using the task manager it gives me a access denied error).
I have tried to search for info on this on Norton's webpage, even sent them a question about it. But if it's answered at all (considering it's xmas time) I expect the answer will be that it needs the high priority to work optimally, which isn't acceptable to me.

Thanks in advance

First, this isn't really an OS question, this should be in Software. That said, while I don't know the answer to the question off hand, I've sent it off to the NAS developer (who's probably on PTO until after new year), but I'll pass on what he says when he returns.

Best,
Bill

I verified there is no current way to do this within the product (or any settings that can be manipulated to have the same effect). It was added as a feature request for the product.

Sorry!
