Norton 360 & Win Edge, Chrome problems

Downloaded Norton 360 and installed it on daughters laptop. After a while I am getting something like "edge or chrome extensions not compatible with norton. choose ie 11, etc as default browser.
Doing some research, the norton web site says that the toolbar and identity safe are not compatible with edge

Anone else having this problem?
 
Since Edge doesn't currently support extensions, it doesn't support Norton's toolbar. Chrome should though, so I don't know why it's giving you that notification.

It's not really a big deal unless you absolutely have to have those features. Personally I disable them, as they slow down browsing.
 
What does the extension even provide? It's unlikely that it would help with security on Chrome at least.
