norton 2003 wont open?!?!?!

norton systemworks 2003 skeleton install on winxp sp2....the icon sits in the system tray but whenever i double click it to run it it just becomes disabled and i cant enable it back again... running it from the start menu has the same results... i want to turn off the office plugin because it wont let me open anything but i cant even get to the config screen wtf.... liveupdate works for everything minus defenitions... bizarre...

Do you know for a fact that it works with SP2? That's a older version of SystemWorks and could be unuseable because of the SP2 changes.

In the Norton folder, there should be an executable file called navw32.exe (I think that is the file name). Double click that and see if the main menu comes up. I've had Norton go goofy on me a number of times, and I have managed to get back to the settings menu by doing this.

i refuse to believe this is a SP2 issue because at home ive been running sp2 with office 2003 AND norton 2003 and never had any issues and i just formatted my bros comp and this started happening... anyway thx for the feedback!
