Hell,

I have a 3.4 Northwood Pentium 4 Processor that when idle runs about 42c and when under heavy load 56c. Idle is surfing the net and heavy load is dreamweaver and photoshop. Is this good or could I do better. The heatsink is the Zalman CPNS 7700 and the case themp is 32c and the temp in my room is about 70 degress.

If your system doesn't crash, don't worry about the temperatures. You're not anywhere near "dangerous" territory with those temps.

I actually having my 3.4 Northwood running at 70C at full load. It's running more or less 24/7 encoding h.264 for the past 2.5 years in my Shuttle. Absolutely no problems.
