Northwood retail fans: Truly quiet?

Just how quiet or noisy are the Northwood retail fans? I'd like opinions from people who are serious about peace and quiet. At the mo I'm running an Athlon machine with a Volcano 6 (4700 rpm, not the "plus" model) and I find it way to noisy.
 
It is dead silent! Quieter than my xp1600 with alpha8045 and PCPowercooling silencer fan (21db i think). All i can hear is the enermax powersupply fan! No case fans needed either. I am serious about peace and quiet!
 
That's what I wanted to hear!

My Athlon rig is not only loud but hot as well. I don't need that living in Florida! I learned too late that Athlons can be either cool or quiet, but not both (barring water cooling of course, which is over my head).
