Northwood Processors

In order to get the added features of the northwood processor, do I need to get a motherboard with northwood as well, or will any motherboard work? I have a northwood pentium 2.4GHz processor, and i want to get a GIGABYTE GA-8IEXP motherboard** to go along with it. Will this combination give me the benefits of the northwood processor, or do I need to find another motherboard? If that's the case, it'd be greatly appreciated if someone could recommend a good motherboard for me. Hope someone can help, let me know, thanks.
