True, you can compare their TDP on a market ($) basis, but it makes sense to also do it on a performance basis.

Actually, i heard a rumor saying your going to need 2x1500 watt PSUs to power just one HD6870.
The article mentioned outdoing Fermi "on so many levels"..

anybody else notice that fudzilla is the source of barts xt info? lmfao!

die sizes look like they're in the ballpark at least, but the (alleged) new naming scheme does not jive with that list.

cayman xt bus has been changed to 256 bit.

interesting that this chart is showing barts xt as 960 shaders (1/2 of cayman xt and only 240 alu) instead of the rumored 1280 shaders/320 alu. that would be a more reasonable spec for 6770 as a gtx 460 figher, however. what if they take a 400 alu/1600 shader cayman pro as 6870, 320 alu/1280 shader barts xt as 6850, and a barts pro 6770 @ 240 alu/960 shader? then they could have the full-fledged 1920 alu/480 shader cayman xt debut as 6970 and the dual gpu card as 6990. that would really throw everyone for a loop.

It seems those specs keep changing, I have no idea what you guys are talking about.

Anyway, 4 TFLOPS seems awfully high, if they say the shaders are easier kept fed that could be a monster.

Of course they all look bogus.

they are changing here's the one I first viewed

The chart that was there a while ago was outrageous. This new ones looks actually fairly accurate. Buts its just all the leaks put together. That one slide showing the 6870, called on the slide a 6770 having 960 shaders was supposedly wrong, so im not so sure about that one. Interesting how even then it shows bandwidth exactly like the 5870...So either shaders is off, or bandwidth is off. It actually all looks pretty accurate to me. 6770 (6870) looks like a killer value and the 6850 (6950) looks like its targeted at the 480...
