I grew up in NY, but now live in NC.

I've noticed that many locals don't realize you need extra clothes to handle really cold weather (ie wool hats, winter gloves, boots, snow pants, etc...).

If your heaviest jacket is a light parka, then you might think 0 degrees is unbearable. People don't realize northerners dress to conditions to make life comfortable.

It's a nice 70 degrees. Cold weather is very overrated.
