People are saying we're going to be getting 6-12 inches here not too shabby. Pretty sad how whenever we get a bit of snow people start panicking like if they can't leave their home for a day or two they might die. :(

That's cause us people in the NE like to be occupied doing something. Especially on the weekends.

A little late for a "post-holiday company party", but nonetheless ours is tomorrow nite, smack in the middle of the storm. Good thing I bought the S-10 Blazer beater... :D:thumbsup: Too bad HR needs to overhaul their physical appearance requirements for employment... :(

*Sigh*. (/me straps on beer goggles)

I am damn tired of the snow here in Ohio. We got slammed enough already and now we're getting more. Although it could be worse, it could snow bricks.

I'm not looking foward to it at all.

I'll have to get up early tomorrow to dig my car out, the ride in to work will totally suck, and I'll probably have to dig my car out again when I get out of work... and do it all again on Sunday. bleh :(

edit: and if it starts snowing heavy tonight, I'll have to drive home on unplowed roads. bleh x2.

Yeah, the Boston area weather people (and I say that lightly) are doing their usual overpredicitons to keep people from killing them if they keep it low.

I've already seen some of them predict 18".

I glad Toronto area is getting snow, most of it melted last week. Hopefully enough falls by sunday to strap on the snowshoes.

I'm hoping it blows through here quick! I have no need for snow. It's fine on the lawn but I don't want to drive with a bunch of insane drivers who are scared of an inch of snow. Shoveling is the driveway is no fun either.

I can tell you, here in NE Iowa, it's fvcking crazy out there right now. I think we got ~6inches, and now the wind is blowing at about 25mph. I feel for anyone who is stuck out on the highways

A MAJOR WINTER STORM FOR THIS WEEKEND

A developing storm system will give us a major punch of winter weather this weekend. Heavy snow totals and high winds will give us blizzard conditions from Noon today until Noon Tomorrow. Totals could range from 6"-10" North and West of Albany to 10"-20" from Albany to the South and East. The snow continues overnight with the storm tapering off tomorrow in the afternoon. Please be careful with this storm system!

Haha exactly. At least I don't have to go anywhere in the next few days. But it's going to be good snow for sledding on Cobb's Hill.

<--too poor to go snowboarding.

I dunno, maybe you just have to have grown up with it - and even many who have don't like it. It's just beautiful what it does to the landscape, and obviously it accompanies cold weather, something I personally like. It's easy to put on more clothes if you're too cold, but cooling off if you're too hot is a pain in the ass. Personally I get sick of summer by mid July or so.
