Northbridge cooling options

I was looking for some opinions on my northbridge cooling options.

Option one - Get an Abit IS7 that has an active northbridge heatsink/fan on it.

Option two - Get an Asus P4P800 Deluxe, that has a passive heatsink on it, and then install a third party (Vantec Iceberg) heatsink and fan on it. The only problems I can see here, is that the NB heatsink on the P4P800 is held on by 4 clips, not the bolt/screw setup that the Vantec Iceberg has offered. I don't think the Asus board has holes for this to be installed, but I could be overlooking something. Can the Iceberg (or another product) be installed with these wire clips too?

Option 3 - The case I am buying (an Antec PP 1080AMG) has a fan mount on the side panel that is supposed to be used for VGA/NB cooling. I was thinking of installing a 42 CFM, 3200 RPM fan into this, with a filter to prevent dust. I just don't know if that is enough to keep the Asus' NB cool.

I've read a few sites where OCing on the Asus board is halted due to the NB being too hot, and I'd rather not jury-rig something up like the guys at Hard OCP did.

If you take that advice........ make sure you put a piece of foam rubber on your video card to catch the NB HSF when it falls off..😀

Do a little reading and you'll see what I mean.
 
Heh, yeah, before I asked this question, I did a search for "northbridge" and saw the thread about that. Thanks for the welcome and the suggestions so far.
 
Or you can take the easy route like I did. Just go with a p4p800 and then add a fan to the existing fsb. It was really easy to do. My temp's do very well with this setup.
