I think I'm gonna be sick
Kwon Hyok said the camp had a gas chamber made of glass so scientists could observe inmates as they were gassed.
"I witnessed a whole family being tested on suffocating gas and dying in the gas chamber," he told the BBC. "The parents, son and a daughter."

Hope it wasn't some sick, twisted way of combating the food crisis there. That's one messed up leadership running things over there.

I thought not being able to feed your citizens was N. Korea's attempt at population control.

Oh I'm sorry... Was I supposed to feel bad for EVERY SINGLE PERSON who dies in the world? I dont think i have that much sympathy in me, cause thats one helluva lot of people in a day.
And, you do send you "cup of coffee a day" to charitable organizations to feed starving children in Africa right? Oh you dont? Here, let me help you to a cup of STFU.

Dont get me wrong fellas, its sad that happened. But, I just dont have the time in my day to worry about it. I have a mortgage, 3 kids to take care of, utilities to pay, job training to stay current on, a full time job etc etc etc. I got shyte TO DO man. And hearing a sad story of 1 family gettin gassed half way across the world...well... that ranks REALLY low on the attention-meter.
Aside from all that, *my* personal way of dealing with crappy stuff is through humor. Hell, at my best friends funural for his parents me and my 2 friends were makin little jokes. Granted, tears rollin and all, but humor heals wound faster then anything.

Darn it, isn't there *some* natural resource we could exploit if we invade?? Surely we could find something to make it worth our while? ;)

yup- but reporting those would would not confer with the West's agenda driven, anti-North Korean propaganda machine. I'm not saying that this is not true, just trying to point out that the sensationalism this article was written in would only be directed against a government the UN doesn't approve of for other political reasons.

I wasn't aware that we gassed innocent families here for scientific research.

Well, there's that and the whole different use of gas chambers in the US. There, it's usually done one at at time and only after great expense on the part of the tax payer and the legal system. There's also no attempts really made to study what happens to the subjects.

yeah i agree, the iraq war was a year ago, havent we got some new bombs to test out yet? this one would be a real stomp! they are virtually at bows and arrows level ther.

also we would get rid of another person who wears "evil glasses"

square glasses are officially evil
Really? I thought they were developing nukes? They said so themselves.

It still stands that with adequete planning and some ballsy pilots, they could have NOTHING that can hit ANYTHING after half an hour. It wouldn't be easy, their early warning systems are so sensitive that anything within 50 miles of their territory is asking for trouble, but we have certain tools that could be used to lay large scale waste to anything and everything in sight. You CAN'T pick and choose targets at leisure with NK. They're so f'ing volatile and we have NO idea what exactly they're capable of (we have a general idea and some rumors)

It would require MASSIVE air presence. We can't use cruise missiles, because quite frankly, not much of anything in that country is static enough for one. It's also entirely conceivable that we'd have to blow up an ICBM during the initial launch stage (the BEST place to hit it - it's disarmed, it's SLOW, and all that solid fuel is going to lay waste to your enemy, but it requires a high performance interceptor with a DAMN GOOD pilot to be in VERY close proximity to the launch site)

Then there's the issue that NK is ready to pound the SNOT out of SK on a moment's notice. Short range missiles loaded with god knows what, hardware ready to move out across the DMZ, etc.

Without some way of protecting SK on the ground, there would be no more Hyundai. If we were to try to commit to protecting SK on the ground, we might well provoke NK into getting started early.

And then there's China and their intense issues with American aircraft. The LAST thing we need is a squadron of Chineese MiGs jumping in on an American combat flight because they got too close to China. That's almost the end of the world.

Fighting in North Korea is possible. It may even be the right thing to do. But it's in no way shape or form an easy thing to win, no matter how much technically superior we are (Unless we can cloak entire divisions. Then it gets VERY easy). They have the home field advantage.
