North Korea conducts another nuclear test

SEOUL (Reuters) - North Korea conducted a nuclear test on Monday, South Korea's Yonhap news agency quoted a ruling party official as saying.

YTN Television quoted the South Korean weather agency as saying it detected a tremor indicating a test at 0054 GMT (8:54 p.m. EDT).

Here we go again. I wonder how Obama is going to respond to this. I honestly don't see this test, if confirmed, as changing anything. If they want nukes, they can eat them. NK is running on borrowed time.

Just North Korea acknowledging a change in US administrations. Really doesn't mean that much. No one is going to attack them and they ain't going to attack anyone else. Quite frankly, NK isn't our problem. South Korea and China are going to have to pick up the pieces when NK finally collapses.

Yeah, I agree. I'm just afraid that when they collapse under their own weight, they just might take SK with them. :\

<Financial/Banking Crisis>
<Iraq/Afghanistan>
Kim Jong-il: Hello?
<US Elections>
Kim Jong-il: Hey you guys!?
<Swine Flu>
Kim Jong-il: <BOOM!>
Kim Jong-il: I have nukes! Who wants to fuckin' touch me?

He's just a little attention whore who's got someone new to fuck with. He's probably looking to get some autographed LeBron shoes or blu-ray discs out of Hillary.

I love how all the stupid politico's are foaming at the mouth with "We CONDEMN this brazen act!" yadayadayada. We all know that NK doesn't give a FF on what the world thinks and everything that the stupid UN does is worthless in this situation. It's almost like the best way to deal with a child throwing a temper tantrum=ignore him.

Probably have a nice sit down chat with Il. How would it be any different than his approach to all of the other dictators that hate our country?

How would that be different from Bush's strategy towards NK?

And what would the past president have done? GTFU and pull your head out of your ass.

I suspect all that Obama or the UN will do is write a strongly worded letter.

All we need to do is extend our hand, not our fist. Oh, and disarm. Kim is just misunderstood.

Good thing weve been using our fist for the past 8 years!

My idea of using my fist is that we would have waged war and North Korea would no longer exist. A few paltry sanctions, (were they lifted for good behavior?) is hardly using your fist.

So, this nuke was about the same power as Little Boy? Was it an atmospheric or underground test? (assuming underground here)

We need to tell China to deal with this or we will station nukes in Japan and South Korea.

Japan will not let us place nukes there, but we do not need to do so. That is why we have subs!

Well, we should say that should Japan request nukes we will place them there for their defense. That will get China's attention, big time.

Clinton tried talking to them and it didn't work.

Bush tried not talking to them and it didn't work.

The only thing we haven't tried is to smack them upside the head to get their attention.
We really have to think about this and decide if taking a military approach will do more harm than good.

Which is more than Kim deserves, really.

Been there, done that.
