You are also forgetting SK are pussies and are not willing to fight anyway.

SK gov't will ship over food and oil and that will be that.

Smarter and cheaper than letting a war destroy everything or having millions of NK refugees pouring over into your industrialized cities.

SK civilians may be that way, not SK military.

In Vietnam, the VietCong feared the SK Marines more than any other country.

Easy for you to say but really, what would you do if you were SK? Would you be willing to go into a war fully knowing that it'll cost millions and millions of lives not to mention having everything you've achieved destroyed? It's not like our situation where we just send troops somewhere far and watch it on TV.

They also have to look at if they do not stand and fight, everything that they have will be swallowed up.

They are in the fight for their lifestyle.
Should NK win, they will have nothing. Look just down the street at Vietnam in what happened there. Possibly re-education camps

That's the dilemma. SK really needs to do something about NK but they have too much to lose if war ever breaks out. They will be in the fight for their lifestyle by going into war.
The best thing is to let NK collapse on their own and take over NK when they're in chaos. This, however, isn't a rosy scenario as China won't let that happen.

NK is incapable of "winning" anything. The only danger they pose is the fact that they can level Seoul with a massive, but short, artillery barrage. This would be catastrophic, however, because the Seoul Metro area accounts for some ridiculous percentage of their GDP. The American & SK response, would then devastate the NK army. The North can't even feed their population, let alone sustain an invasion.

NK can't win if a war were to break out. SK has advanced leaps and bounds since the korean war whereas NK is still stuck in the 50s. Heck they're still stuck in the dynasty days since they are passing on leadership through bloodlines.

Seoul will probably bit hit hard but when NK troops storm in they'll look at all the technology around and feel like they stepped into the future. I wonder what type of culture shock they will be in.

that's a little too much lol

ROK Marines were some awesome bad-ass motherfuckers in Vietnam.
Their level of commitment was impressive.

That being said, I just don't see this current conflict ending well for either side. I don't think the Red Chinese will want to get involved militarily and piss off their biggest customer...the USA, but if we get too heavily-handed on the peninsula, I think they might.

I think old Kim Junk Ill is testing the SK's resolve...then will offer reparations...for a still price. He's pretty good at threatening the SK militarily, then getting them to pay him to stop.

If you stop playing the game, you have no chance of winning anything.

If anyone calls his bluff he just may set the table, and himself, on fire.

As to Kim Chi, it is awesome stuff. Just that it stinks to high heaven. If you have EVER smelt it fermenting you will know what I mean.

Even Limburger cries "Mercy".....

unless kimchi sold in korean food stores in the US have been 'americanized', i personally don't think kimchi smells bad at all. there are much worse smelling things in asian cuisine.

You say that like it's a GOOD thing...😱

My first step-dad was in Korea during that war. He used to say, "...the kimchee hits the fan," so I grew up thinking kimchee was the Korean word for shit...I think that was a pretty good interpretation, based solely on the few renditions of kimchee I've had over the years.

I think kimchi smells identical to pickles or some vinegary condiment with hot peppers in it. I dislike both of them but people exaggerate how stinky it is. :colbert:

Nukes are pretty shockingly awesome regardless of terrain (from a military perspective at least)

mountains contain nuclear blasts rather effectively. remember that the bomb dropped on Nagasaki was ~2x more powerful than that on Hiroshima, but the blast radius was mostly contained due to the terrain.

Kimchi smells like rotten food because...it's rotten. You need a kimchi fridge to contain it. I know, I have one.
