It is interesting that this occurred the day before the attacks on SK
South Korea's defense minister says his country may consider having U.S. tactical nuclear weapons deployed on its soil for the first time in 19 years.
Defense Minister Kim Tae-young raised the possibility Monday during talks with a parliamentary committee about North Korea's latest nuclear escalation. He said the issue could be raised when a joint U.S.-South Korean military committee meets next month to discuss North Korea's nuclear programs.

This nonsense happens all the time. The reason is that no one has the balls to properly bitch slap North Korea. I think it would be fun to nuke them into extinction. All of the people have been brainwashed, so there's no point in trying to free them. We'd just end up with another insurgency situation. Better to just kill them all and let South Korea take over the land. Everyone knows this.

Yep. Big mistake firing MacArthur who only wanted to nuke 1/3 of north to unite country. We have not fought since day he was fired and lose every war due to it. Now it's too late for N&S.

SK has been holding 'military training exercises' on the SK/NK border the whole month already it seems. Sounds more and more like the Israel/Gaza border, but then with both sides heavily armed. The moment it's quiet again one side or the other starts provoking until finally someone does something, and then whines about the other party being the aggressor.

No they didn't. RT is full of shit as usual.

I remember reading a while back that NK basically has a cajillon dug in artillery positions in the high ground around Seoul. If a full scale battle broke out Seoul would basically be obliterated in a couple of hours.

The article horribly misinterpreted the source that it obtained its information from, which is here:

We also dodged world war three. On the whole, I'll call that a win.

China had nothing but men at that time. 1 million which pushed us out but still easily remedied then in one day with technology we refused to use. Now? Yeah we're fucked. But so many poor souls are and have suffered with starvation, death camps with whole families put into them, and outright killings that MacArthur was humanitarian by comparison. Worst it's not over either, not by a long shot.

lol. We postponed WWIII. Postponed. It's going to happen. Everyone knows this.

I normally don't agree with you, but I do.

I don't think this particular action will make for an all out war. Obama is too much of a puss to do anything. It seems like China wants to stay away form this as well. Iran will probably pipe in with some empty threats sooner or later.

Once we get a president with some stones in office, then NK will have to be worried.

who do you think was supplying migs to the north and china at the time? The russians had the bomb and most likely would have supplied it to china and/or NK if we had used nukes.

LOL this thread is much more interesting than the P&N version.

It's because of the Kimchee.

Kimchee can make friends from the worst of enemies!
Kimchee can fix that leaky faucet!
Kimchee can stop constipation!
Kimchee can stop diarrhea!
Kimchee can Kim your Chi!!!!

Seriously? NK is playing a game, but the player is unstable. You never know what he will resort to if he feels he is losing.

Whathappens when he does not have enough food for his army anymore? that is a serious consideration. It is one thnig to tell your people to hate another, but if you do not feed them, they tend to question your decision making abilities....

As for Kimchee (or Kim Chi, whatever), "fresh" kimchee does not stink. It is really crispy, hot and pickled. If you get some that has been.... "cultured" it stinks to high heaven. It has a skunky laundry aroma that smells like concentrated boiled cabbage mikes with skunk oil, "ripe" gym socks and chili powder.

It tastes GREAT, but seriously, do some net searching for "stink" and "kimchee" (Or kim chi). You will get the idea.

OR, just make friends with a Korean family and go visit their parents/grandparents when they are making some...
