North Korea agrees to resume talks

BEIJING, Oct. 31 ? North Korea agreed Tuesday to resume nuclear disarmament talks, a first sign of easing tensions since the country?s nuclear test this month. But the talks have dragged on inconclusively for three years, and the chances for rolling back the country?s now-proven nuclear capability remained uncertain.

China announced that six-nation talks would reconvene shortly after a hiatus of more than a year, and an American envoy in Beijing said they could take place in November or December.

Looks like the hardball stance paid off. China came on board and NK submitted.

I was about to post a thread about this too... dang you just cost me my "new thread" bonus.

I think this is good news for sure. Although hard to tell how serious NK is on this. Perhaps they are getting worried about China and all the coup stuff I was posting about.

Does this mean that Bush not talking to him was the right thing to do? :gasp:

Talk is cheap and it is often used as a tactical advantage to indefinitely delay action on our part. Every word spoken up to this point has been entirely useless with them. Their nuclear weapons are the prime example. They should have been killed before they obtained them and they should still be killed now before their capabilities mature.
