Well not only did the NCGOP lose in court over their maps it looks like they lied to the court:

Newly Discovered Files Suggest GOP Lawmakers Lied in Court About Racial Gerrymandering to Stop An Election

https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2019/06/hofeller-republican-gerrymandering-north-carolina.html

Republicans lied? Really?! Not only that but they lied to the court? It must be another day ending in "y". At this point I would like the Republican party to be declared a hostile entity attempting to overthrow the American government.

They don't want to govern, they want to rule with an iron fist.

It's unreal that the party who shouts the loudest about various types of fraud in elections is actually the one deliberately cheating. The system is already heavily biased toward the Republicans as it is, but they still feel the need to act illegally just to try and steal even more power. This, from the party of the fundamentalist Christians as well! It's almost as if their righteous faith isn't genuine.

Here's an idea... Start tossing these treasonous fucks in jail... Hard time. The GOP knows live births assure their demise so lie, cheat, steal, disenfranchise any and all brown people?

Taking away Americans right to vote just because they don't vote the way you want?
Typical America hating GOP cowards.

Nah just playing. You know I love you NC, and I support your slow, painful trudge out of the 50s to join the rest of us. At least you're not Alabama.

It is almost as if the concerns over election integrity were not genuine. Attempts to rig elections should be tantamount to treason imo.

It's democrats fault for being so mean, and letting them get away with it cause they're also pussies at the same time. everyone hates mean pussies.

I wish there was a Randy Newman song about my home state for some reason...but there just isn't. And honestly, that's a good thing in retrospect, because we clearly don't deserve it.

There's James Taylor, who is a brilliant native son, who spent many years on the smack writing his best material, so maybe that's apt? I dunno....

...but god damn it if we don't have the best beer in the country right now, because we really do. fuck all you others, because NC has made it happen, at least. $4 billion+ annually and we finally bought the inbred Pubs on board about this last year, lol. (those inbred GOP clones actually voted to double our gallons/year brewery output...lol. I mean, you know, they never allowed it before until numbers were forced upon their inbred brains)...it only took them 15 years to understand the math about profits = state money. you know...the GOP.

god damn it..we're not all rednecks...I'll probably die defending my redneck compatriots, so sue me, jerks. whatever.

The best part about this whole story—this late GOP operative’s estranged daughter (who shared the files with Common Cause) is now being threatened with legal action by GOP operatives to stop releasing information and return the hard drives.

Typical GOP moral superiority, “How dare you expose us! You had no right, you vile woman!”

Common Cause disclosed this information on Thursday to combat Republican attempts to seize the Hofeller files. GOP attorneys have tried to force the group to return all of Hofeller’s materials—which it obtained lawfully—by claiming work-product privilege over the documents. Common Cause argues that it may keep this proof of “false statements” because it is “highly relevant” to its ongoing fight against the legislative gerrymander.

Meanwhile, Republicans have argued that Hofeller drew these secret maps “out of personal interest in his spare time.” They also argue that Hofeller’s daughter, Stephanie Hofeller Lizon, took advantage of her mother, Kathy, in order to obtain the files. (Kathy readily agreed to let her daughter keep the materials, but Republicans assert that she may be incompetent, though no court has found that she is.) GOP attorneys are fighting tooth and nail to keep the remaining Hofeller files out of court and the public eye.

Well Randy did write this one :p:

William Brown
Randy Newman

William Brown, a tobacco man
Left North Carolina when he sold his land
He took a train to Omaha
Stayed there with some friends he had

And he didn't mind the dust
And he didn't mind the wind
And he didn't mind the cold
And he didn't miss home

And he liked the people
And he liked the town
So he built himself a house beside the river
And he sent for his children
And he sent for his cars
And he bought a little business that would
Run itself

And he didn't mind the dust
And he didn't mind the wind
And he didn't mind the cold
And he didn't miss home
