Nortel BCM 400 - what ports to open on firewall?

Does anyone know what ports you have to forward through your firewall in order for a remote user's phone to be able to connect directly to a Nortel BCM 400 server? Or is this even possible?

Tried UDP 7000, 51000-51200 and 28000-28255, which was all I can find in the manuals so far, but no dice! 🙁

There are 2 nortel softphones. They do not use a seperate VLAN for voice, i.e. the voice signaling and media is sent on the same VLAN as the PCs data, and there will be no QoS marking.

How is you I2004 setup?

If you are using dhcp, as stated before the I2004 will need your data DHCP setting up so that it returns the VLAN id that the I2004 is to use for voice. The I2004 then does another DHCP request and gets its voice IP address. You can set the I2004 manualy as well. It will need the telephony server IP address and port. You must have entered these when setting up the nortel softphone.
