Normally I don't like leases, but this Dodge Dakota deal is really nice.

There has been talk of a deal on another board I belong to about a leasing special Dodge is having. $2200 plus TTL upfront gets you a 4x4 V8 6-spd Dakota with power moonroof and bedliner. There are no payments the remainder of the 2 years, but it is 25 cents a mile if you exceed 24,000 miles. a 4x2 V8 6-spd with no moonroof or bedliner is $1700 + TTL.

Considering I would never hit 24,000 miles (commute is 3 miles RT) and I desperately need the ability to haul stuff, this is tempting.

Holy sh!t. If I didn't have an '04 Accord, I'd be all over that. That's an unbelievable deal.

I _HAVE_ a Dakota, and I want to hit that. That's under $2000/mo.

...though that milage thing would end up costing me $300 after two years.

BTW, I did confirm it with a guy I know who is a salesperson at a not-so-local dealer.

You need to have an employee discount and be a current DCX owner.

Okay, then I'm out. :(

Damn, I'd LOVE to have a truck though. After going camping this past weekend for the first time ever, I've realized that the more cargo room you've got, the better. :)

Which thus disqualifies 99.9% of ATOT.

This is retribution for the dozens of Frys deals I have missed out on in the past 6 years. :p

Regarding the other thread, I'd rather not because of privacy issues.
