Anyone know of a decent free/cheap Windows or Linux software for normalizing MP3 playback volume? I'm not looking for something to normalize while playing. I'm looking for something that can compare a batch of MP3's and normalize their volume.
I don't know of a utility that will do this, other than putting them in Winamp, using a plug in to normalize, write them as .WAV files, and then recompress the .WAVs.... this is obviously not ideal.
